When Chalice sets off for Branbury in the middle of the night with her grandfather's instructions, she has no idea of the dangers that await her. The King's men have destroyed her home village of Canton and she is suddenly thrown into a Terravailian world that she does not know. Lost and alone, she is hard pressed to evade the iron grasp of the madman who rules the land. With the help of a friendly Chinuk, an old man, and a book that she discovers along the way, not only does she find true friends and true love, but she also finds her true self and what it means to be the Raie'Chaelia.

My Thoughts

UPDATE 6/2/12: This author has attacked numerous reviewers. She has given out personal and intimate details about them. She has forged accounts to rate up her novels and sabotage others. I strongly urge you to not read this novel.

My computer is going haywire so I asked Sabrina to post this review for me. It should be good tomorrow so I'll be able to post the interview on my account.

Chalice is a girl who knows how to kick butt! She can take whatever comes her way. She has been trained to do so. So going on a quest for her grandfather should be a cinch right? Not if it involves leaving your family, having your village destroyed, learning life changing revelations and overthrowing an evil king! At least she'll have Jeremiah, her handsome, honorable childhood friend whose a skilled archer with a brilliant mind, and Buneja, a loyal, smart Chinuk.

The Raie'Chaelia has a brilliant storyline. The beginning was a bit dull but it gained a great momentum as the story went along. I tried to savor each and every word that came off the page. The descriptions weren't too over the top for me. You could practically imagine almost the whole thing. The characters were so easy to love. Chalice quickly earned my respect, with her amazing skill to swiftly take down enemies. My eyes didn't even close to blink.

  2. Its like you read my mind! You seem to know a lot about this, like you wrote the book in it or something.
I think that you can do with a few pics to
drive the message home a bit, but other than that, this is fantastic blog.
An excellent read. I will definitely be back.
