You think your school's scary?

Get a load of these teachers:

"Ms. Fang," an 850-year-old vampire
"Dr. Dragonbreath," who just might eat you before recess
"Mr. Snakeskin"--science class is so much more fun when it's taught by someone who's half zombie
"Mrs. T"--break the rules and spend your detention with a hungry "Tyrannosaurus rex"

Plus

Gargoyles, goblins, and Frankenstein's monster on the loose
The world's most frighteningly delicious school lunch

And

The narrator's an eleven-year-old ghost

Join Charles "New Kid" Nukid as he makes some very Scary friends--including Petunia, Johnny, and Peter the Wolf--and figures out that Scary School can be just as funny as it is spooky.

My Thoughts

Ever got in trouble on the first day of school? How about getting detention for wearing the school uniform? Absurd as that may sound, that is the last thing anyone in Scary School should worry about. Unfortunately, the new kid, Charles Nukid, doesn't know this and nearly becomes a snack for a hungry giant squid, T-Rex, and even a dragon!

While the New Kid tries to figure out the ropes of Scary School, Principal Headcrusher is planning ahead for this year's Ghoul Games. Pretty exciting since it's the first time humans were allowed to compete against  monsters... except for the part that the winners get to eat the losers.

Each wacky character is given their own great adventure and all of them connect into one spectacular ending. The dialogue and narration is ridiculousness funny. Despite the silliness of Scary School, there are serious and nice lessons to learn. Anyone who loved Wayside School will surely love the new Scary School!

Thank you to the author for providing me a free copy of Scary School for an honest review!
